Reputation Partners suggested and launched a robust sustainability campaign to help this company’s vehicle fleet clients reduce their carbon footprints. We helped differentiate the company’s eco-fleet offering through unique branding, competitive messaging and programs that generated internal enthusiasm. A major consideration was ensuring this effort was not seen as “greenwashing;” rather, it needed to make a meaningful impact on the environment. To ensure this, Reputation Partners identified and facilitated interactions with several strategic NGOs to evaluate and shape the program. The company joined one NGO’s corporate consultative group and works regularly with another NGO on best practices for implementing and reporting sustainability programs. In early 2010, the company issued a challenge to its clients to practice environmental responsibility; program adoption exceeded expectations and feedback from fleet managers, individual drivers and industry media has been overwhelmingly positive.
