Reputation Partners was engaged when this company faced highly-publicized incidents at two of its facilities: the sexual assault of a resident by an employee and the murder of a resident by another resident. Our team helped the company manage the swarm of local media interest that resulted from these incidents and advised the company on the proactive steps it should take to mitigate future issues and rebuild the company’s reputation. While negative press was unavoidable, our efforts helped to contain the media coverage and ensure coverage was factual and included the company’s key messaging. Ultimately, our efforts helped to raise awareness of the company’s stringent security and employee screening practices, and to clarify that the incidents were separate and isolated vs. a widespread company problem.
