Reputation Partners was engaged in late 2009 to help one of the nation’s largest homebuilders counteract an increasingly-hostile corporate campaign being waged by the Laborers International Union of North America (LiUNA). We quickly developed a comprehensive strategic plan, including a proactive media strategy; data rich messages, proof points, and media materials; and a dedicated response website. These efforts, which are ongoing, have led to a greater balance in union-related media coverage, greater employee understanding of the issue, and a sharp reduction in disruptive union activity.
