Sara E. Rosenthal, Senior Associate

Sara Rosenthal brings seven years of communications experience to Reputation Partners, with a background in corporate communications, media relations and crisis and issues management. Sara joined Reputation Partners as an Associate in May 2004 and was promoted to Senior Associate in December 2005.

At Reputation Partners, Sara specializes in media relations, corporate positioning and crisis/issues management, and has worked with clients including Ace Hardware, OVATION Pharmaceuticals, Methode Electronics, Vonage, Equity Office, OfficeMax, Owens Corning and Tave Risk Management. Her recent work has included developing strategic corporate communications and corporate positioning programs; conducting business and financial media relations; writing proactive and reactive messaging; and counseling clients through major change events.

Before joining Reputation Partners, Sara spent three years at Edelman, the largest independent public relations agency in the world. As a senior account executive in Edelman Chicago’s Reputation Management practice, Sara specialized in planning and executing crisis and issues management programs; media relations; message development; and conducting extensive research for responding to activist groups/NGOs and labor relations issues. While at Edelman, Sara supported a variety of accounts including Household International, Limited Brands, Rockwell Collins and Gambro Healthcare.

Prior to graduation and joining Edelman full-time in 2001, Sara interned both within the Reputation Management group and also at the Reynolds Communications Group in Chicago, developing materials and executing media relations programs for a number of business-to-business and technology clients.

Sara holds a Bachelor of Science degree in journalism from Northwestern University’s Medill School of Journalism in Evanston, Ill. As a journalism student, Sara served as a reporter and producer for KVUE-TV, the ABC affiliate in Austin, Texas. She also gained communications experience as a research assistant for an investigative reporter at “NBC 5 News” in Chicago. Sara lives in Chicago’s River North neighborhood.
