Lynn Sheka is an associate at Reputation Partners. She joined the firm as an intern in June 2009 and was quickly promoted to account coordinator in July 2009 before advancing to the associate position in July 2010.
Lynn assists with the planning and execution of corporate communications and reputation management initiatives on behalf of local, regional and national clients in the commercial real estate, telecommunications and financial and professional services industries. Her primary clients include the Building Owners and Managers Association of Chicago (BOMA/Chicago), Manpower, MorrisAnderson, Owens Corning and XO Communications, as well as special projects for new business prospects.
Lynn has a strong track record of generating top-tier media coverage on behalf of clients, having garnered feature coverage in Financial Times, Los Angeles Times, National Journal, San Francisco Chronicle, The Washington Post and CNN en Español radio, as well as coverage on broadcast stations in top markets, including Los Angeles, San Francisco and Washington, D.C. Lynn also executes executive and corporate positioning strategies, including generating high-profile speaking and award opportunities and philanthropic board placements for clients.
Before joining Reputation Partners, Lynn worked for more than two years as a public relations and editorial intern at Marquette University’s Office of Marketing and Communication in Milwaukee, where she developed press releases and student news briefs and wrote feature articles for Marquette Magazine and the faculty newsletter. Lynn also worked as a public relations intern at Creatonomy Marketing Communications in Milwaukee, where she was involved in strategic research and marketing initiatives for clients in the healthcare and financial services industries.
Lynn graduated summa cum laude from Marquette University in Milwaukee. As valedictorian of Marquette’s College of Communication, she earned a Bachelor of Arts degree in Public Relations and Writing-Intensive English.
Lynn currently resides in Chicago’s Lakeview neighborhood.
